I don't think it's thunder?

I'm watching a doorframe, waiting for the dust to shift

to move, to twist, to contort,

stir up a storm.

The rain is a little too brutal to be comfortable - how is the weather feeling, is the sky crying?

I think the windows are going to crack,

pieces of a mirror-ball on the floor,

crushed crystal glass.

I think the rain wants to come in, is it cold outside?

Will I dream tonight?

This was not supposed to be good honestly, I just wanted to write something because I haven't written enough recently; the rain was hammering last night and I had a very long stream of only half-comprehensible thoughts but wanted to lay them on paper. I don't know if it's the lack of sleep but it felt somewhat meaningful, so if you've been looking for a sign for anything, this is it. Maybe I'm feeling a little mournful after reading History Is All You Left Me yesterday (Adam Silvera). I hope everyone's doing well, wherever you are, do something for yourself. <3
