A glow transcends through the leaded skylights, the moon whole and full, a satisfied felon having drank the forbidden knowledge. Her eye moves to the slumped figure, deformed in an armchair, poisoned by Eve's gift.

Another victim of unbearable intelligence.

Alexandria Mortis; where mankind's greed for the fruit is fulfilled.

We are fed from the bookshelves, our hunger ever-present, our minds leeching to ink on paper. An insect flying in the kitchen, hovering; a mutt downing scraps on pearly bones. Our trek leads us to a cushioned seat, a welcome comfort to drop our weary feet. A sanctuary for our thoughts, a place to put our words to rest. Let your inner self wander, unbridled, browse the shelves at your leisure. Take time, hold it all in your palms, you are held under no constraint. Brush the dust from the spines, refresh the pages with your perspective, give them all your innocent mind of wonder. And when you approach the final tome, do not fear, be at peace; your greed has devoured the fruit.

Song suggestion - Eat Your Young - Hozier (I just read A Modest Proposal. And also, please read Carmilla. 108 pages, oh my God, so beautiful)
